Ethereum Dominates Ondo Asset Holdings Across Blockchain Networks
Ondo's tokenized assets are being held on various blockchain networks, with Ethereum holding the largest share. As of October 4, Ethereum had around $2.1 billion in distributed Ondo assets, surpassing other networks like Solana, Stellar, and BNB Chain. This is according to a recent update, which also revealed that Stellar held about $536.9 million and BNB Chain held about $430.7 million. The total value of distributed Ondo assets across all networks was approximately $3.89 billion, with 522,260 holders overall.
In January, Ondo expanded its presence to Solana, bringing over 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds to the network. This move added another platform for trading and using these assets. Three tokens, SPYon, QQQon, and TSLAon, are supported as collateral on Euler, enabling users to borrow stablecoins against them. However, the figures available do not show the scale of borrowing.
Eligible investors outside the United States can access these tokenized stocks, but specific details on this aspect are not provided.
