Ethereum Eliminates Token Inflation for Synthetic Dollar
The Ethereum protocol has announced that it will completely eliminate token inflation for its synthetic dollar, $USDe, by the end of September. This decision comes after a significant reduction in token incentives, with a decrease of approximately 85% since the initial airdrop in 2024.
The Ethena team expressed gratitude to users who contributed to $USDe's growth and stated that this change is a stepping stone towards shifting the protocol from a growth-promoting model to a more sustainable one.
Following this development, the price of Ethereum ($ENA) surged to $0.28, with HTX data showing it as one of the leading assets in the altcoin market during the day.
