Ethereum ETFs Outshine Bitcoin in Inflows, But Lag Behind in Assets
Ethereum ETFs saw significant inflows in 2026, pulling in $1.5 billion, outpacing Bitcoin's $985 million by a substantial margin. This data comes from SoSoValue, which tracks daily crypto ETF inflows and outflows.
Despite the higher inflow for Ethereum, Bitcoin ETFs still dominate the market with $109 billion in total assets, roughly six times greater than Ethereum's $18 billion. This discrepancy raises questions about why Ethereum's 2026 inflows are impressive while Bitcoin ETFs remain larger.
Bitcoin funds experienced a notable recovery in the third quarter, attracting $6.3 billion after facing significant outflows earlier in the year. The disparity between the two fund groups can be attributed to earlier launches, higher net inflows, and greater price appreciation for Bitcoin.
