Ethereum Explores Hybrid Model with Elements of Bitcoin's UTXO

In his statements, Buterin drew attention to the UTXO model used by Bitcoin, praising its pioneers for their ideas in this area. He emphasized that Ethereum aims to combine strengths from various state management models, rather than adopting just one single approach.

The current Ethereum model stores records of transactions, which increases the storage load on nodes. In contrast, the UTXO model used by Bitcoin removes spent records and creates new ones, reducing storage needs for validators.
