Ethereum Eyes $3,000 as Bullish Momentum Builds
Ethereum (ETH) has experienced significant buying interest over the past few months, with the price consolidating in a narrow range before breaking out. At the time of reporting, ETH was trading at $2,711.48, up more than 70% since July. The market capitalization stood at $330.989 billion, with a 24-hour trading volume of $8.39 billion.
Key technical indicators suggest bullish momentum. Ethereum has defended its previous swing low, indicating buyer dominance. A breakout from the current consolidation zone, supported by increased trading volume and open interest, could push the price toward $3,000. Conversely, a drop below the ascending trendline might lead to a decline to major support levels at $2,360 or $2,150.
Derivatives data provides additional insights. Funding rates are mildly bullish at 0.0042%, while open interest remains stable around 5.3 million ETH. A daily close above $2,780, backed by rising volume and open interest, could target the $2,900-$3,000 zones. Support levels to watch are $2,650 to $2,690, with deeper support at $2,500.
The broader outlook remains cautiously bullish, but confirmation is needed. Volume has cooled compared to the September spike, indicating a lack of decisive buyer commitment. Institutional flows, staking data, and network activity are among the fundamentals supporting Ethereum’s bullish case.
