Ethereum Fees Fall 87% Amid Network Upgrades

Ethereum's transaction fees have plummeted by 87% since April's peak, dropping from $0.72 to $0.095 per transfer.

The decline is attributed to reduced mainnet demand during the quieter summer season and expanded network capacity due to upgrades such as Fusaka's higher blob throughput and a 60 million gas limit.

Layer 2 networks have also absorbed a substantial share of execution, easing congestion on the mainnet. This shift has made Ethereum easier and cheaper for everyday activities like swaps, transfers, and DeFi positions.
