Ethereum Fees Plummet to $0.095 as Network Upgrades Boost Capacity
Ethereum transaction fees have dropped sharply over the past few months, falling from $0.72 per transfer in April to just $0.095 as of today. This significant decrease is largely due to reduced mainnet demand during a quieter summer and network upgrades like the Fusaka upgrade and a raised gas limit.
The upgrades have increased Ethereum's capacity, allowing more transactions per block and easing congestion on the network. Meanwhile, Layer 2 networks are absorbing more activity, further reducing pressure on the mainnet.
Ethereum's price is currently testing key technical levels near $2,460, with potential to move higher if resistance is broken. This favorable environment suggests a possible resurgence in network activity.
