Ethereum Foundation Releases Unified Tier List for Hegota EIPs
The Ethereum Foundation's Protocol cluster has released a unified tier list grading all 62 proposed EIPs for Hegota, the upcoming network upgrade. The list marks the first time the group has spoken with one voice on a fork, instead of each team posting its own opinions.
The tier list sorts proposals into bands that carry hard delivery commitments, with S meaning 'must ship' and DFI meaning 'declined for inclusion'. Only FOCIL, filed as EIP-7805, earned a clean S grade, enabling any user to get an eligible transaction included without relying on centralized block builders.
The scoring process involved roughly 60 researchers and engineers, who filled out 16 contribution templates between themselves. The teams produced 397 grades across the 62 proposals at an average of 6.4 per EIP.
