Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade Unveils 8x Scalability Boost
Ethereum's Fusaka upgrade is set to launch today at 21:49 UTC, marking the network's second major enhancement in 2025. The update follows May's Pectra fork, which sparked a 29% rally in ETH.
The Fusaka hard fork combines the Osaka execution layer upgrade with the Fulu consensus layer update, delivering improvements aimed at boosting scalability, security, and user experience.
Prior to the upgrade, Ethereum's Peer Data Availability Sampling (PeerDAS) technology will be deployed. This will allow network nodes to store just one-eighth of blob data while enabling up to 8x theoretical scalability for Layer 2 rollups.
