Ethereum has reached its 11th anniversary since its launch on July 30, 2015. Early core developer Lefteris Karapetsas (@lefteris.eth) commemorated this milestone by sharing a classic group photo from the day Ethereum mainnet went live. The photo was taken in a modest office in Kreuzberg, Berlin, where Gavin Wood, Christian Reitwiessner, Christoph Jentzsch, and others gathered to celebrate.

The photo shows 'Frontier block #1,028,201' displayed on the background screen, showing information related to the genesis block. Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum's main founder and core designer, appeared relatively 'low-key' at the edge of the group, only 21 years old at the time.

Karapetsas reflected on the significant changes Ethereum has undergone since its launch, stating that 'it's incredible, 11 years have passed already.' He emphasized that despite the numerous changes, one thing remains constant: Ethereum is the world computer.
