Ethereum Marks 11 Years: What's Next for the Second-Largest Cryptocurrency?
Ethereum, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency, has come a long way since its launch on July 30, 2015. Its initial price was $2.77, but it reached an all-time high of approximately $4,953.73 in August 2025.
The biggest achievement of ETH is that it proved blockchain can be more than just a way to transfer value. It introduced smart contracts, which opened the door to innovations like DeFi, stablecoins, tokenisation, NFTs, and decentralised applications.
Vikaas M Sachdeva, CEO of BitDelta India, said ETH continues to drive innovation and shape the future of digital finance. The price will depend on a mix of technology, adoption, and market confidence.
