Ethereum Network Fees Plummet as Price Rebound Continues

The Ethereum network has become cheaper for users and developers due to a significant drop in transaction fees. According to Santiment, the average cost per ETH transfer has fallen from $0.72 on April 21 to around $0.095.

This decline in fees is attributed to the softening of mainnet demand during the bearish summer, combined with network upgrades that have increased Ethereum's capacity. The implementation of Fusaka, higher blob throughput, and a 60 million gas limit has enabled the network to handle more activity without increasing costs.

Additionally, Layer 2 solutions are processing large amounts of transactions that previously competed for mainnet blockspace, further reducing fees. Santiment believes that lower transaction costs will make Ethereum more accessible for users and developers, allowing them to complete swaps, transfers, DeFi activities, stablecoin movements, and ERC-20 transactions at a lower cost.

However, Ali Martinez notes that the asset is trading within a defined 4-hour channel despite recent market volatility. ETH has reached the lower boundary of the range, with $2,570 being the next level of focus for potential rebound. A strong 4-hour close above $2,570 could signal a breakout, with targets at $2,700 and then $3,000.
