Ethereum Poised for 10x Growth as Tokenization and Stablecoins Gain Traction
Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine, believes that the current crypto rally could extend further. According to him, this cycle is different from previous ones because it's not driven by a single trend. Instead, several developments are creating new sources of demand.
Lee sees tokenization as one of the main reasons for the continued rally. Financial companies are exploring ways to put stocks and other assets on digital networks, opening up new ways of trading and using them. He stated that companies will adopt this technology if it can lower costs, improve operations, or create new revenue streams.
The growing use of stablecoins could also support this shift by giving companies a digital way to move money and settle transactions. Additionally, Lee pointed out that artificial intelligence (AI) could increase demand for systems that can process payments at any time, as AI agents may eventually make payments, buy services, or move stablecoins without human intervention.
Ethereum is expected to gain from the growth of tokenized assets and financial applications. Financial institutions are examining Ethereum due to its established network, security, and widespread use. Lee even predicted that Ethereum could reach $60,000 to $72,000 based on his longer-term view.
