Ethereum researchers have drafted a new proposal for a post-quantum-ready validator deposit contract.
The draft aims to prepare the network for future post-quantum cryptography by supporting variable-length public keys and metadata.
The current BLS signatures will remain active initially, but the new scheme will eventually phase out new BLS deposits with an irreversible switch.
