Ethereum's price has broken through the $2,550 barrier, sending traders eyeing the $3,000 target. This move comes after a volatile week of trading around the $2,400 and $2,600 levels, where buyers defended the $2,500 area.

According to CoinMarketCap data, Ethereum's price traded near $2,573 with a market capitalization of $315.85 billion at press time. The 24-hour trading volume stood at around $10.05 billion, while Ethereum's price traded between $2,564 and $2,660.

Crypto traders Rod and Draxen believe that holding above the $2,530-$2,550 resistance area could open a move toward $2,700 and $2,800, with $3,000 remaining as a target. However, trader EliZ offered a more cautious view, suggesting that a 12-hour close below $2,500 could produce a deeper decline.

The Ethereum price structure remains focused on the $3,000 level, but traders must hold above the $2,500 area to preserve conditions for another rally. The upcoming Sepolia upgrade on October 6 may also impact market sentiment and trading activity.
