Ethereum Price Compressed to $2,000 Level Ahead of Major Move
Ethereum's price has been compressing into a narrow band near $2,000, and analysts expect a major move to be imminent. According to CyrilXBT, Ethereum briefly touched $2,400 in mid-March but has trended lower since. The rally failed to produce sustained follow-through, and the price has gradually weakened toward the 200 EMA near $2,104.
The moving average now serves as a thin line of defense for the token's price, with $1,800 acting as critical macro support below and the $2,300-$2,500 zone capping any upside attempts. Analyst Minga framed Ethereum as trading within a high-timeframe range defined by its 2021 all-time high on the upper end and the 2022 bear market low on the lower end.
The recommended approach is to trade level to level rather than chase extended trends, as rejection from key inflection points keeps downside pressure alive. A reclaim of these levels could open a path toward $2,395, where an untapped fair value gap sits.
