Ethereum Price Compression at $2,000 Level Sparks Breakout Expectations
Ethereum's price has compressed into a narrow band near $2,000 as declining volatility and fading momentum point to an imminent breakout or breakdown.
The token briefly touched $2,400 in mid-March but has trended lower since, failing to produce sustained follow-through. The 200 EMA now serves as a thin line of defense at around $2,104.
Analyst CyrilXBT notes that the price is squeezing into a tighter range, with $1,800 serving as critical macro support below and the $2,300-$2,500 zone capping any upside attempts. A daily close above $2,200 would represent the first credible sign of strength.
