Ethereum Price Falters Near Key Support Amid Bitmine's Ongoing Accumulation
The Ethereum price has been trading near $1,847 as it navigates a weakening support level, which raises downside risks toward $1,700. Despite this, Bitmine continues to accumulate ETH, adding 10,399 tokens last week and lifting its total holdings to 5.8 million tokens, representing 4.8% of Ethereum's supply.
Bitmine has also expanded its staking operations through the MAVAN platform, with a projected annual staking revenue of $247 million. This development comes as Chairman Tom Lee notes that Ethereum outperformed the Nasdaq 100 by 25 percentage points during July, attributing this to improving crypto fundamentals and continued institutional interest.
The company's latest purchase brought its total holdings to nearly 5.8 million ETH, worth around $10.9 billion at the current market price. Bitmine aims to hold 5% of Ethereum's supply, with Chairman Tom Lee stating that the company remains 96% of the way toward this goal.
