Ethereum Price Rebound May Be Short-Lived, Warns Analyst
Ethereum's price has been on a rebound trajectory since revisiting recent lows to form short-term support. As of September 18, 2026, the K-line is breaking through the 4-hour mid-band and MA30 successfully, indicating an upward trend. Although the Bollinger Bands are narrowing, suggesting a possible reversal, the upper band is pressing down close to 2500, and both KDJ and RSI indicators are entering overbought territory.
Zhang Lihui's analysis suggests that once the bullish momentum runs out, Ethereum's price may decline. For those who have already reduced high short positions and taken profits, they can continue holding or choose to add positions at resistance near the upper band. In the short term, it is crucial to monitor whether the price breaks below 2300 and MA300, as this could signal a weekly pullback trend.
Lihui recommends not chasing the current rally and instead maintaining a strategy focused on shorting at higher levels. He advises traders to go long below 2390 with a stop loss below 2340 and target 2460-2520 or go short above 2520 with a stop loss above 2615 and target 2460-2390.
