Ethereum Price Suffers from $141M Spot ETF Outflows Amid CLARITY Act Uncertainty
U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $141 million in net outflows on September 15, led by BlackRock's ETHA with about $97.97 million. This decline coincided with weaker cryptocurrency prices following the stalled CLARITY Act vote and ahead of the Federal Reserve's rate increase.
The Ethereum price remains near $2,400 after falling sharply during the previous session before stabilizing around a major technical support area. It now trades near its 50-week EMA at $2,382, with a break lower potentially exposing the $2,225 support zone.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel identified a broader downside path if ETH fails to recover above higher resistance, including levels such as $2,143, $2,000, $1,870, and $1,800. On the upside, Ethereum needs to reclaim $2,547 before the short-term structure improves.
