Ethereum Price Surges 27.8% in 7 Days Amid Institutional Demand Boom
Ethereum's price surge has tightened supply as institutional demand returns to the market.
The second-largest cryptocurrency has reached levels last seen at the turn of January into February, with a current price of $2,507.26, a 27.8% increase over the past seven days and 10.88% of total crypto market value.
This recovery is the sharpest in 2026, having arrived from a damaged base after Ethereum peaked near $4,954 in August 2025, gave back most of that through the following six months, and dipped below $1,800 in February.
The structural bid for Ethereum is documented, with US spot ether exchange-traded funds posting eight consecutive sessions of net inflows, adding roughly $192 million Wednesday and pushing the cumulative streak past $1 billion.
