Ethereum Price Surges Ahead of Glamsterdam Capacity Upgrade
Ethereum's price has been steadily increasing, currently trading at just below $2,500, up 1.86% over the past 24 hours.
This growth comes as a result of the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade, which has successfully completed a key testnet rehearsal on Nethermind's client software. The test saw an impressive 570.7 billion gas processed in just three minutes and 15 seconds, averaging around 2.9 billion gas per second.
The significant increase in block gas limit from 60 million to 200 million is a major milestone for the network, with many viewing it as a scalability catalyst rather than a routine software patch. This has maintained a constructive market sentiment, with analysts framing the capacity jump as a bullish trend continuation.
