Ethereum Privacy Evolves in AI Era: Vitalik Buterin Seeks Stronger Controls
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin spoke at the 12th Global Blockchain Summit on September 23, 2026. He warned that hiding names in transactions is no longer sufficient as AI and analytics can deanonymize activity.
The problem with current blockchain privacy measures is that they expose transaction activity by default, making it vulnerable to advanced data analysis.
To strengthen Ethereum's programmable privacy, Buterin suggested using modern cryptography to extend protection beyond digital assets to information itself.
