Ethereum Proposes Payload Splitting to Speed Up Network
A new proposal, EIP-8411, aims to improve Ethereum's execution payload propagation. The proposal suggests splitting payloads into smaller batches and forwarding them in parallel, allowing nodes to verify fragments without waiting for the full block.
Simulated testing found that this method reduces network propagation delays from about 5 seconds to under 1 second, potentially supporting a more decentralized validator base.
Meanwhile, on-chain trackers have flagged a mix of institutional and whale activity. BlackRock withdrew $12.28 million in Ethereum from Coinbase Prime, while Bitwise sold $34.21 million in Ethereum as part of a broader asset disposal.
Whale wallets also showed renewed accumulation, with one wallet withdrawing 2,695 ETH (about $6.94 million) from Gemini and staking the entire amount shortly after.
