Ethereum bounced back above $2,500 despite a massive $408 million whale exit over five days. The sale, which involved 167,855 ETH, would have been catastrophic for the token during bear market months but was absorbed by the market without causing a sustained breakdown.

The whale's position was unwound from multiple addresses to exchanges starting on September 1, with deposits reaching $174 million in the first two days. By September 4, the entire amount had been sold off.

Ethereum's market capitalization remains near $305 billion, and its dominance has climbed past 11%. The token's recovery is attributed to strong spot demand from ETFs, institutional buyers, and larger wallets, which accumulated approximately $167 million in ETH since March without net selling.
