DeFi's total value locked (TVL) dipped to $75.12 billion last week, down 0.3% from the previous week and about 34% below its year-to-date peak.

This decline reflects cautious capital deployment in the sector, despite steady network activity. Ethereum remains the dominant chain, with over 55% of TVL at $41.41 billion, followed by BNB Chain, Tron, Solana, and Base.

Lending and yield-focused sectors showed resilience, indicating a market consolidating rather than collapsing. Users are actively transacting on faster chains but keeping larger collateral pools on Ethereum, signaling a balanced approach to risk and liquidity.
