Ethereum Researchers Retire Old Validator Credentials Amid Market Volatility

Ethereum researchers have added EIP-8365 to the Ethereum EIPs repository. The proposal seeks to retire old 0x00 withdrawal credentials used by some validators.

The number of 0x00 validators has decreased from about 600,000 to 9,290 after the Capella upgrade opened a one-way conversion path.

The Ethereum Foundation also moved $2.45 million in ETH to an unlabelled Gnosis Safe, but it's unclear whether this is a sale or not.
