Ethereum Rotates Higher Amid Tom Lee's $10K Call
Ethereum's price has surged by over 32% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine and a prominent Ethereum advocate, believes that this recent recovery is just the beginning of a significant rotation for the asset.
Lee argues that Ethereum remains undervalued relative to Bitcoin and expects it to regain its historical valuation relationship with the leading cryptocurrency. He also believes that ETH will become increasingly important for decentralized finance, tokenized assets, and artificial intelligence, which could drive its price up to $10,000 within one or two years.
Lee's thesis is based on Ethereum's ability to become a settlement layer of the future. In June, he predicted that Ethereum could eventually reach $250,000, and BitMine has been pursuing an aggressive Ethereum treasury strategy with a $250 million private placement. As of July 14, the company had accumulated over 163,000 ETH.
