Ethereum Sees Fresh Privacy Catalyst in Aztec’s zk.money Relaunch
Aztec's relaunch of zk.money has given Ethereum (ETH) a fresh privacy catalyst, but whether this will drive ETH higher is uncertain. The wallet, which allows users to make stablecoin payments while concealing transaction amounts and recipients from public view, was launched yesterday after three years offline. The launch announcement cited zk.money's earlier record of over 75,000 wallets and $100 million in volume, although it's unclear if this represents current adoption.
ETH is currently trading at $2,665, below the $2,700-$2,735 resistance band. Zcash's rising shielded activity adds context to the narrative of privacy-driven demand for Ethereum settlement and gas, but a price move without evidence of sustained usage remains uncertain.
