Ethereum Sees Surge in Institutional Buying Amid Technical Recovery
Three large investors have purchased 25,425 ETH for $50.04 million at an average price of $1,968, a significant increase in Ethereum's volume. This substantial accumulation suggests institutional or sophisticated investor interest amid Ethereum's technical recovery, as it approaches key resistance levels like the 100-day EMA around $1,935-$1,970.
According to recent market trends, if Ethereum holds above this level, it may target the 200-day EMA near $2,180, indicating a potential end to its recent downtrend and a shift in market sentiment toward bullish momentum. The large purchase is also notable as it comes at a time when Ethereum has gained about 30% since late June, reaching nearly $1,980 on July 27.
The technical indicators show a steady uptrend with higher lows and a key breakout above $1,800, now acting as support. This strong technical setup has contributed to the recent price gains, which have also been driven by increased ETF flows into Ethereum products and higher staking participation, reducing circulating supply.
