Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum Poised for Growth as AI Agents Flock to Their Networks
Three leading cryptocurrencies - Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), Solana (CRYPTO: SOL), and Arbitrum (CRYPTO: ARB) - are showing signs of recovery after a prolonged bear market. Despite being underperforming before the recent downturn, these assets have catalysts for growth that will kick in soon.
Ethereum's next major upgrade, Glamsterdam, is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. This update increases the gas limit on the network, making it less expensive for complex calculations, such as those required for executing some smart contracts. The idea is to attract AI agents looking for a place to do business, which will generate significant transaction fees and economic activity.
Currently, there are over 30,774 registered agents operating on Ethereum's network. This development could remedy some of the issues that led to Ethereum's poor performance in recent years, including its reliance on Layer-2 networks and slashing transaction fees. Glamsterdam carries similar risks but is expected to be offset by new activity from AI agents.
Solana is also competing with Ethereum for AI agent adoption and has implemented measures to tighten its supply and maintain low transaction costs. The network's inflation rate will decrease, which should have a positive effect on the coin's valuation.
Arbitrum's fortunes are changing thanks to Robinhood Markets' new chain, launched in July, which runs on Arbitrum's technology. Robinhood Chain sends 10% of its net revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem. In September 2025, Arbitrum received approximately $72,000 from this arrangement, significantly boosting its revenue.
