Ethereum Stabilizes Above $2,550 as Institutional Demand Fades In
Ethereum's price has recovered to the $2,500-$2,550 region after dipping below $2,400 earlier in the week. This puts the market back at a key breakout point identified by CryptoRank in its Ethereum price prediction. The bigger question now is not just whether ETH can clear this level but how high it could realistically go before 2026 ends.
Institutional demand for Ethereum has begun to stabilize again, with U.S. spot ETH ETFs returning to positive flows after more than $400 million exited across three sessions earlier in the week. According to Farside Investors' data, this stabilization is a crucial factor in determining how high Ethereum's price can go.
The immediate technical problem for Ethereum remains unchanged: it needs to establish support above $2,550 rather than briefly trading through it and falling back into the range. If that happens, $2,700 and $2,800 become the next checkpoints, with a break through $2,800 putting the psychologically important $3,000 level back in focus.
A move to $3,500 would require a much stronger second leg, including sustained ETF inflows, stronger broader crypto risk appetite, and continued tightening of liquid ETH supply. Ethereum's declining exchange reserves strengthen this argument, as staking and withdrawals from exchanges absorb more supply.
