Ethereum Staking Numbers Soar Amid Network Upgrades
Ethereum's staking landscape saw some notable developments in the latest weekly report from Bitget. Ebunker, one of the largest node operators in Asia, currently offers Ethereum and other asset staking solutions for large institutions and high-net-worth individuals. According to the report, Ebunker's Ethereum staking Annual Percentage Rate (APR) stands at 2.18%, while stETH (Lido) averages around 2.52% APR over a seven-day period.
The total amount of Ethereum staked on various platforms now exceeds 43 million units, accounting for approximately 36.19% of the overall supply. Meanwhile, Ebunker's validator efficiency rating has reached an impressive 98.8%, a significant improvement from its average rating of 97.93%. The company's market share in Ethereum staking stands at 0.79%, indicating a strong presence in the sector.
As for upcoming upgrades to the Ethereum network, developers are working on adopting different account abstraction standards. Additionally, Ethereum Institutional has proposed shortening block times to accommodate growing institutional activity. Around 40 proposals have been reviewed, but 14 EIPs (Ethereum Improvement Proposals) will not be included in the Hegota upgrade.
