Ethereum Staking Reward Burn Proposal Removed Amid Community Opposition

Authors of a paper proposing Ethereum staking reward burn have removed the suggestion from their document.

The move comes after objections were raised over validator economics and how the change was being considered. Lido, an Ethereum staking platform, has offered to help with the development of a separate issuance-policy process.

The authors had planned to implement the proposed changes through the existing protocol upgrade mechanism, but faced opposition from within the community.
