Ethereum Supply Pressure Eases as Institutional Demand Takes Center Stage
Ethereum's selling pressure from miners has decreased to its lowest level in about a year. This reduced supply-side strain is improving conditions for a price recovery, but institutional demand is needed to underpin any move into the next upswing.
CryptoQuant analyst PellineiPA said that miners' transfers of Ethereum to Binance have neared their lowest level in the past year. As Binance is the most active exchange for Ethereum spot and futures trading, these transfers are seen as a potential sell signal.
Most large transfer spikes seen in recent months have disappeared. Transfers rose at one point in June but then fell quickly, and by late July they had dropped back to near baseline levels.
PellineiPA noted that miners are a natural source of Ethereum supply, and fewer coins moving to exchanges reduces the amount available for immediate selling. This structure makes it easier for buying to absorb market liquidity. However, he emphasized that supply declines alone do not lift prices and that reduced miner selling can only lower downside risks.
