Ethereum Surges Past $2,700 as ETF Money Returns
Ethereum's price surged by about 3.3% over the past 24 hours, reaching around $2,664 after briefly testing the $2,700 level.
The increase in Ethereum's value coincided with a return of ETF inflows and short liquidations, which pushed the token above its recent consolidation range.
The US spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded net inflows of $143.8 million on September 18, according to SoSoValue data.
In contrast, oil prices eased after last week's surge that pressured risk assets, with Brent crude falling around 2% to $101.71 a barrel on Monday.
The pullback in oil prices led to an increase in several risk assets, including the S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures, which rose by 0.4% and 0.6%, respectively.
