Ethereum Surges Past XRP Ledger in RLUSD Balances
Ethereum has surpassed the XRP Ledger in holding Ripple USD (RLUSD) balances. According to DefiLlama's RLUSD data, Ethereum now holds more RLUSD than the XRP Ledger.
The balance shows that Ethereum has $1.014 billion in RLUSD, while the XRP Ledger has a smaller balance of approximately $1 billion. However, it is essential to note that the shift does not change the fact that RLUSD is natively issued on both blockchains and can be redeemed 1:1 for US dollars.
The increase in Ethereum's RLUSD balance is substantial, but the XRP Ledger has grown faster in percentage terms over the past month. This combination suggests that while Ethereum may have a larger balance, the XRP Ledger is still active and growing rapidly.
