Ethereum to Outperform Bitcoin as Tokenization and AI Drive Growth
Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, is predicting that Ethereum will outperform Bitcoin in the coming years. He points to the rising ETH/BTC ratio as a key indicator of Ethereum's relative strength compared to Bitcoin. The ETH/BTC ratio has climbed to 0.02994 and is showing signs of breaking out of a long-term downtrend.
Lee believes that the tokenization of assets on Wall Street and the spread of agent-based artificial intelligence will drive growth for Ethereum, increasing demand for the Ethereum network. He notes that stocks, bonds, funds, and other real-world assets may be tokenized on blockchains, while AI agents begin using them.
Bitmine, led by Lee, is steadily increasing its Ethereum holdings, currently holding about 5.8 million ETH, which corresponds to 4.8 percent of Ethereum's total supply. The company bought an additional 9,926 ETH over the previous week.
