Ethereum Trader Places $780,000 Bet on New Price Highs
A major Ethereum options wager has been placed by crypto trader KoolKrypto, who is risking $780,000 for a potential profit of up to $40 million if ETH breaks new highs within six months.
The position involves purchasing 10,000 March 2027 5,000/7,000 call spreads for about $300,000. If Ethereum reaches $7,000 by March 2027, the trade could generate as much as $20 million in profit.
KoolKrypto cited several potential catalysts for a price surge, including Ethereum's possible inclusion in a future U.S. strategic crypto reserve and growing tokenization of bonds and other real-world assets.
