Ethereum Trapped in Range as ETF Inflows Fail to Spark Breakout
Ethereum remains stuck in a tight range despite a recent influx of funds into U.S. spot ETFs. The asset continues to consolidate within the $1,850-$1,950 range, waiting for a decisive breakout to determine its short-term direction.
The return of positive flows is evident, with net inflows of $60.8 million recorded on August 5 in U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs, according to SoSoValue. However, ETH has yet to develop a clear directional impulse, limiting the impact of institutional demand.
A breakout above or below the current range could have significant consequences for Ethereum's price. A move beyond $1,950 could trigger a rally toward the psychological resistance level near $2,000, while a sustained decline below $1,850 would increase selling pressure and open the way to $1,700.
