Ethereum Trumps Cardano in Smart Contract Platform Growth
Cardano has surged by 76% over the past three months, outperforming Ethereum's 71% gain during that period. However, Ethereum dwarfs Cardano in nearly every measure of long-term growth and strength.
Ethereum's market value stands at about $331 billion compared to Cardano's roughly $9.4 billion. This gives Ethereum a network valuation about 35 times larger than Cardano's. The vast difference in network usage contributes significantly to this valuation gap, as developers often issue stablecoins and create tokenized assets on Ethereum.
While Cardano has gained momentum in recent months, its overall growth story is less compelling when compared to Ethereum. Ethereum has retained more of its value over time, with a price drop of only 35% over the past year compared to Cardano's staggering 68.6% decline.
