Ethereum developers have launched the Plataberget testnet to validate the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade. This network will serve as an early testing ground for the upgrade before it's rolled out on Sepolia and Hoodi.

The key changes in the Glamsterdam upgrade include revised operation costs, a new block production mechanism, and increased maximum smart contract size from 24 to 64 KB. Some wallets and indexers may need software updates as a result of these changes.

Developers are strongly encouraged to test their solutions on Plataberget before the upgrade is moved to Sepolia and Hoodi. This includes wallets, blockchain data explorers, fee calculation tools, validator software, and staking co-management solutions.
