Bitcoin and Ethereum are racing to reclaim their all-time highs, but Ethereum faces a steeper climb. Bitcoin needs a 49% gain from its current price of $84,900, while Ethereum must surge by 83% from around $2,710.

Ethereum has outperformed Bitcoin in recent months, jumping 72% over the past 90 days compared to Bitcoin's 42% gain. However, this rapid rise may not be sustainable, and a slowdown could put Ethereum at a disadvantage.

Jordi Visser calls Bitcoin 'the purest AI trade,' which could maintain investor interest in the leading coin. Additionally, Bitcoin has weathered the crypto winter following its 2025 peak better than Ethereum, leaving it less distance to recover.
