Buterin explained that Ethereum is reviewing an approach that incorporates concepts such as Utreexo, which were first pioneered by Bitcoin developers. Cardano adopted the EUTXO (Extended UTXO) model, which extends Bitcoin's UTXO structure for a smart-contract environment.
