Ethereum Warns of Potential Attacks Ahead of Glamsterdam Upgrade
Ethereum developers have confirmed the dates for their highly anticipated 'Glamsterdam' upgrade, but warn that potential attacks could disrupt the chain's testing.
The public test for Sepolia is scheduled for October 6, with a shortened release window of just seven days before the fork. Hoodi testing is tentatively planned for October 27, and mainnet activation remains unscheduled.
Developers have warned that bad actors could exploit free test ether and disposable builder identities to win Sepolia block auctions and withhold transaction payloads during Glamsterdam testing. This would not threaten mainnet funds but could disrupt infrastructure testing.
