Ethereum Whale Moves $356M in Four-Year Largest Transfer, MetaMask Exits Validators
A significant Ethereum whale has moved 133,298 ETH worth approximately $356 million in a recent transaction. The transfer was made to a new address and is the largest single transfer from this wallet in about four years.
The wallet's history dates back to the 2015 Ethereum ICO, where it subscribed to 560,000 tokens at a cost of around $0.31 per token. This is a tiny fraction of today's price near $2,695.58.
MetaMask Staking has begun exiting validators after an infrastructure breach, as a precautionary measure. Lido, the protocol that uses these validators, shared more detail on the process and its timeline.
The Ethereum Foundation has also backed a grant for end-to-end formal verification of the Vyper compiler, aiming to strengthen smart contract security.
