Ethereum Whale Withdraws $93.6M from Binance, Extends Staking Intentions
An anonymous Ethereum whale has withdrawn another 50,000 ETH from Binance, according to on-chain data. This latest withdrawal brings the whale's total accumulation from the exchange to 90,000 ETH, with 40,000 of that amount already staked.
The transaction was flagged by Onchain Lens, a blockchain analytics platform, which reported the whale's address withdrawing the funds in a single move.
Staking involves locking up ETH to help secure the Ethereum network and earning rewards in return. The decision to stake a significant portion of the accumulated ETH reinforces the narrative of conviction among large holders.
The whale's behavior aligns with a broader trend observed since Ethereum's transition to proof-of-stake, where institutional and high-net-worth investors have increasingly opted to stake their holdings rather than keep them on exchanges.
