Ethereum's $4,000 Target Hinges on Reviving Monthly Growth
Ethereum's (CRYPTO:ETH) journey to $4,000 has been closely monitored by investors. A recent surge of 72% in just three months has raised hopes that it can hit this target before the end of 2026. However, a slowdown in monthly growth from 22% and 29% in the first two months to only 10% in the last month indicates that it needs to pick up pace.
According to calculations, Ethereum requires an average monthly increase of approximately 14% over the remaining 95 days of 2026 to reach $4,000. If it maintains its current market share of around 11%, a growth rate of 48% in the overall cryptocurrency market would be sufficient for it to hit this target.
Historically, both scenarios have contributed to significant price increases. Ethereum's recent breakout above $2,672 in September was a critical milestone, signaling a potential path to $2,950 to $3,000. If this momentum continues, ETH could surpass $4,000 before the deadline.
