Ethereum's Post-Hegotá Roadmap Unveiled: A Quantum-Safe Future

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, outlined his vision for the network's future after the Hegotá fork. The roadmap aims to transform Ethereum into a 'cryptographic world computer' rather than a conventional blockchain.

The changes will impact how transactions are verified and computed on the network. By 2030, Buterin expects verification to shift towards PeerDAS and SNARKs, which allow for faster computation without repeating all transactions.

Ethereum's consensus mechanism is also expected to move towards a more efficient version of proof-of-stake, with block production potentially involving multiple participants. The network will rely heavily on proofs and distributed processing, making it more scalable and secure.
