Ethereum's Price Rally Takes Breather as Catalysts Point to Surge Past $3,000
Ethereum's recent price rally has stalled, but according to Citigroup analysts, several key catalysts suggest that it could surge past $3,000.
The Ethereum price has been on a steady rise since June, moving from its year-to-date low of $1,516 to the current $2,682. However, despite this pullback, demand for Ethereum continues to rise.
BitMine Immersion has bought more coins this year and now holds over 6 million, aiming to hold 5% of the circulating supply. Spot Ethereum ETF inflows have also done well, adding close to $3 billion in assets in the last three months, with cumulative inflows reaching $13.8 billion.
Furthermore, more Ethereum investors are staking their tokens, earning an annual reward rate of 2.57%. The staking ratio has jumped to 35%, with the amount of staked tokens being valued at over $117 billion, although this figure may be higher due to untracked staking rewards.
Ethereum's decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem has also seen significant growth, with total value locked (TVL) jumping to $54 billion from $39 billion in June.
